REMA AND BURNA BOY BAG BET AWARD NOMINATIONS

The BET awards has been celebrating black excellence in entertainment and other forms of artistry around the continent since 2001. This year, two of our long list of faves got nominated ton bring home that Silver Star. 

The BET awards showed that it’s no stranger to the Nigerian entertainment industry when it, for the second consecutive time nominated Burna Boy for best international act. The “anybody” artist is clearly on a roll and would be on an even bigger flex if he took it home again! The talent just can’t rest can it? 

In related news, Rema, the Nigerian rapper who came into the entertainment industry in 2018 and stole our hearts, also got nominated for a BET award for the first time. The young artist got nominated for the “Viewers Choice Best International Act Category” and some of his fans seem to be more excited than the actual nominee. Dears please calm down it’s not your award na *crying emoji* It seems like it was only yesterday he released hit song “Dumebi”. Rema is all grown and ready to soak up more of the limelight.

Winning a BET award will be a huge step up for Rema and set both artists up for even greater things in the music industry. We can’t wait for the 28th. We hope you tune in to BET to watch with us. We can even do that thing where we cheer and call their names like they can hear us. Save the date!
