Sub Sahara brings to the screen a never-before-seen style of programming in African television: a high-concept television series revolving around relevant social and cultural commentaries across sub saharan African communities. Using satire, and subsequently other forms of storytelling to highlight their chosen themes. The style of shooting allows for the cast members to easily interact one with the camera, in the same manner as they would with a live audience. The overstated mode of acting creates an engagement off-screen that leaves the audience with even more curiosity and interest. When asked why he chose this style of production, Debut director, Buhari Yesufu explained "Sometimes we need to go back and perfect before we move forward, I wanted to start by telling simple stories and perfecting that"

With sets built entirely on location, the series highlights the beauty of an enjoyable viewing experience. It delivers well-defined aesthetics and pleasing visuals, with a specific focus on gratifying colour grading, exaggerated dialogues, direction and acting, to accentuate the nuances of each scene.

The date for the series launch is yet to be announced but you should definitely be on the look out for more.
